White Water Rafting on the Sarapiqui River is about a 1-hour drive from La Fortuna. The rafting trip takes approximately 8 hours and is 22 kilometers long (13 miles) with 40 sets of rapids. Along the beautiful river, there is staff taking photos of the action. At the midpoint, there will be a break at a riverside campsite for rest, snacks, and a swim if you have not had enough water yet. At the end of the adventure, you will be treated to an excellent meal at a local restaurant including a slide show of your day before returning to your pickup location*. Photos will be available for purchase.

If you feel class 3-4 might be too much, ask us about the class 2-3 Bolsa river option. It is 10 kilometers (6 miles) and approximately 5 hours.
