Hike the base of the Arenal Volcano!!! This professionally guided tour presents outstanding views of the Arenal Volcano which was one of the most active volcanos in the world from 1968 until 2010. Even though the volcano is not spewing lava there are still some activities such as billowing smoke and small rumbles at times, which lets you know that you are at the foot of a volcano.
The hike is leisurely and very educational including the history of the volcano, La Fortuna, and the abundant animal and plant life. The well-groomed pathways are ideal for people from 6-85 years old and will take you to viewing points offering amazing photo opportunities of this majestic volcano and the manmade Lake Arenal.
You have two choices a day of tours. The morning tour starts at 7:30 am and the afternoon tour is at 1:30 pm and lasts approximately 3 hours.
Your certified guides will pick you up for a short drive to the Arenal Volcano 1968 Park and Arenal Reserve outside of La Fortuna where you will get a short briefing and start your adventure.
Tour includes Transportation, professional guides, park entrance, snacks, and water.
Wear comfortable clothing, hat, and footwear such as hiking boots. Bring insect repellent, sunscreen, camera, binoculars, and rain gear just in case.
